Flightright has conducted a comprehensive evaluation of the largest airlines in Europe. Here you can find out how the individual airlines fared in terms of reliability, payment behavior for compensation, and customer satisfaction, so that you can enjoy your next flight without any problems.

A glance at the worst airlines of 2026

This table shows how the 20 largest airlines in Europe scored in the categories of reliability, payment behavior for compensation, and customer satisfaction. 1 to 5 stars were awarded for the individual categories. 1 star represents the lowest rating, and 5 stars the best. The airlines with the worst overall result are listed at the top, and those with the best overall score are at the bottom.

Reliability

In this category, we have analyzed the delay and cancelation figures of the individual airlines to show which airlines are particularly reliable or unreliable.

Payment behavior

Here we looked at how quickly individual airlines pay compensation due to Flightright as a result of flight delays and cancelations.

Customer satisfaction

We conducted a survey to analyze how satisfied air travelers are with the service provided by various airlines and how quickly and reliably their concerns were dealt with.
