For flight delays and cancellations, you are generally entitled to compensation of €250 – €600 per passenger, depending on the distance of the flight route. If your flight is canceled without a replacement provided by the airline, you may also be entitled to a refund of your ticket price.

A settlement can result in lawyers’ fees and court fees outweighing the compensation amount if they are not (which is standard practice) assumed by the airline.
